Way back in November 2013, I posted a work in progress of my Christmas cards that I was planning to send out, and never got around to posting an update of the final cards. Again, whoops. My grandmother is a huge fan of cardinals, and that is where I drew my inspiration from. I wanted a bright pop of red against a snowy scene. I kept it simple, but the trees ended up taking a lot longer to cut out than I had original thought. I used an x-acto knife to cut them out, which I found was easier to use than scissors.
Once everything was cut out, they were easy to put together. I used a stamp for the “Season’s Greetings” and used embossing powder to give it a bit of definition. I still love how they came together, although I am in no mood to cut out anymore trees.
