menu board

Way back when I featured my grocery shopping list, I mentioned that one day I would tackle my weekly meal planning/how I go grocery shopping. If you’ve been holding your breath in anticipation, today is not that day, but tomorrow is. My menu board takes center stage in the planning of our weekly menu, so I decided to show it first.

I made this board using a Ribba frame from Ikea, fabric, and printed out labels. I’ve been using it for about 4 years, and while it has faded slightly, it still has held up well. You can write on it with a dry erase marker which makes it easy to change it around.

Besides the weekly spots, I also created spots for items that I need to purchase and inspiration. If we run out of something over the course of the week, I can jot it down so which makes it easier when it is time to go grocery shopping. I also like to plan ahead so I can write down anything that I want to try in the upcoming weeks. Or if Charles is wanting something, he can write it down and when I am planning the next week’s menu I can be sure to put it on the list.
