moving, a baby, and cherry blossoms

I’m back. I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since I last posted. I’ve missed blogging, but things have been pretty busy around here. I am planning on getting back to crafting and cooking soon.

Our move to Maryland went pretty smoothly, but the week leading up to it was a little hectic. Charles and I both got food poisoning the Saturday before we moved, which downright sucked and caused us to lose a day of packing. Luckily, my sister and both sets of parents came down to help out. Hopefully the next time we move, we’ll have more notice. We’ve unpacked most of our boxes, but still have a few to go. My kitchen is completely unpacked (yay!), but the office/crafting room needs some work. We have been settling in, and it is starting to feel like home.

Our darling niece Lindsey Ann finally made her appearance on March 24, 2014 at 10:12 pm. She weighed 7 lbs 13 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. We drove up to meet her the next day, and I could have spend the next week snuggling with her. I’m smitten.

This past weekend we decided to take a break from unpacking and go see the cherry blossoms in Washington, DC. They were at their peak, and were gorgeous. It was a beautiful day, and we enjoyed being out in the sun and walking around.

Happy Spring!
