work in progress wednesday: baby knit hat

knitting

Thanks to this cold weather, I’ve still been really into knitting. Currently I am working on another baby hat. This time I am following Purl Bee’s Striped Newborn Hat.  I am using Sindar’s Snuggly Double Knitting line in a light pink and a light grey. The yarn has been a little tough to work with, but that is due to using a smaller needle than is recommended. I am using size 2 double pointed needles, instead of the recommended size 6. I am loving the drape of the yarn so far. It’s been going pretty fast (I started it on Friday) thanks to it the majority of it just being knit stitches. I can just zone out and knit. I just started working the crown, so finishing it shouldn’t take long.

I have a bunch of yarn leftover, so I am thinking about making some matching mittens to go with the hat.
