TARDIS cross stitch

Last year for my sister’s birthday, I made her a TARDIS cross stitch. I couldn’t find a pattern online, so I made up my own. I used graph paper to sketch it out and picked a couple of different shades of blue embroidery floss; you’ll need a darker and a lighter shade. You also need some black and white thread. I stitched it on 22 count aida cloth, and used 2 strands of thread to stitch all of the stitches. Also for each box on the pattern, I did two boxes on my cloth. For example, the top black part is really a 4 by 2 rectangle instead of 2 by 1.

If you want to make your own, you can pick whichever blues you like. The TARDIS changes color depending on the season. I think that it ended up being about 4.5 inches tall. I framed it for her in a frame that I painted and then glittered to make it look more space-y.

It currently is kept with a collection of Doctor Who paraphernalia.
