work in progress wednesday: nutbrown hare hat

Once summer comes, I usually stop knitting because working with yarn just feels too hot. It has been getting a little colder at night, so my needles are back.

I’ve been working on Sally Cameron’s Little Nutbrown Hare hat on and off for the past week or so. It is coming together well, and the cable stitching keeps it interesting. The pattern is available on Ravelry here.

I’m using ONline’s linie 2 supersocke silk yarn in pale blue #2, which has been a dream to work with. I am using size 2 needles, so it is a slow process, but so far I love the way that it is turning out. I haven’t decided who the recipient will be, but I like to make and keep gifts on hand so I figure it will be good for that. I can’t wait to see it when it is finished.
